Iqbal Niyazi, has received All India Best Playwright Award, for Urdu plays “Jalianwala Baugh-89” from Sahitya kala Parishad, New Delhi, in the year 1989. This play has won 1 st Prize, among several Urdu, Hindi and Punjabi entries submitted.
Iqbal Niyazi ,has been honoured by many prestigious and reputed institutions to be a judge to asses plays of Hindi, Urdu, & English all India Drama Competitions , such as: Varanasi’s Akhil Bhartiya Hindi drama competition Etc.
